For my first summer learning journey blog, I did the Tanerore. We had to create a drawing of the koru.
I chose yellow as the background color because I think yellow mostly represents Tanerore. It represents Tanerore because when the air is shivering then that means Tanerore is dancing for his mother.
I learned that Tanerore is the son of Tama-nui-te-ra and Tanerore's mother is Hine-Raumati.
Kia ora Solomone,

Wow - what a super cool kowhaiwhai pattern you have drawn - ka pai! I really like the way your pattern looks different to all the others I have seen...yours is really unique, well done!
You have also done a really informative write up about Tānerore and wiriwiri. This taught me so much, thank you!
If you wanted to try the Step it Up (activity 2), you could try creating a kowhaiwhai pattern using the template on Google draw. It's pretty fun flipping and changing the colours.
Keep up the great blogging - I can’t wait to see more of your posts soon.
Ngā mihi nui
