Explanation Writing- How to be a good friend - 8/11/21

Everyone needs a friend but good friends not bad friends. 

To be a good friend you have to support and encourage each other to do good things and not bad. Also one thing everyone has to have in a friendship is kindness. If you are mean to your friends then they will leave you and you’ll be alone. 

To be a good friend you always need to be there for your buddy so when they feel down or angry you can be there to calm them down. You also have to stand up for each other. You also have to spend more time with them because then soon enough they will leave and you’ll probably find other friends. 

If you want to be a good friend you have to hang around the right people and not the wrong. If you hang around bad people they might cause fights and they will also teach you other bad stuff. If you hang around with good people they will show you the right path. 

Being a good friend will always give you something in return such as a good friendship. 

Remember to always be a good friend and to hang out with the right people.

 Back in my day when I was about your age there was a horrific virus. It spread and millions of people died because of this virus. It was so terrifying, every shop had to close even Mcdonalds. We had to do school online I couldn’t join because we had really bad internet connection. Yes, really bad connection, you guys are lucky that you guys have amazing connection. In my spare time, I would pray and read the bible so that this terrifying virus would stop. Sometimes I would sleep because I was filled with boredom. We were in lockdown but the supermarket was opened for people to get groceries for their homes but we had to wear face masks. I couldn’t even breathe properly in the mask because it covered out nose and mouths. When the lockdown went down another level Mcdonalds, KFC, and other fast food restaurants were all full of traffic.

Clock Face Animation

We have made an animation about the different types of angles by using the clock face.

We have made 5 different angles and they are:

1. Acute angle- 45-degrees or less.

2. Right angles triangle- 90-degree turn.

3. Straight angle- a 180-degree turn

4.Reflex angle- more than 180 degrees and less than 360-degree.

5. 360 degree- A full spin.

I love making this animation because I felt relaxed.

Ki O Rahi

Rahi is a man that fell in love with Ti Ara. Ti Ara got kidnapped by the Patupaiarehe (Monster). 

Rahi created the game Ki o Rahi to settle differences between tribes. Now that the game Ki O Rahi is made people don't have to fight anymore they have to play Ki O Rahi.

Why school is important?

Why is school important?

• School is important because you learn to treat others with kindness.

• School is important because we learn to socialize with other people.

• School is important because it gives you a better future.

• School is important because you get to learn the virtues.

I believe that school is important. A school is a place I go to so I can learn.

Firstly, school is important because you learn to treat others with kindness. In the past, we already learned kindness so that means that when we have a job interview we don’t feel rejected. 

Secondly, school is important because we learn how to socialize with other people. In the future, it is good to socialize with other people because if we don’t socialize with other people then they won’t know who you are or no-one will notice you.

Thirdly, school is important because it gives you a better future. If we have good education then in the future you could start your own business or you could be a doctor, work in an office or you could do anything. If you have good education then you can earn more money to help your family or to help the poor.

Lastly, school is important because I get to learn the virtues of our school. The virtues of our school are Faith, Hope, and Love. We have to love everyone, have faith and we need hope. If you love someone then they will love others.

We are lucky to be educated because other people don’t get educated.

An admirable person

 An admirable person is someone that looks up to someone that works hard and has talents. I look up to my mum.

Firstly, I admire my mum because she works hard to provide for me. Whenever she comes home she is tired. Sometimes when she comes home she tells us that her legs hurt from standing all day at work. When she comes home she comes with food so that we don’t get hungry.

Secondly, I admire my mum because she looks after me. During the weekends she stays with me when there is no one to look after me. Sometimes when she is busy she'll take me with her to meetings and other business.

Thirdly I admire my mum because she always comforts me in difficult times. When I cry my mother is always there right beside me. She comforts me until I feel better. When I am going through bad times she is there beside me she always comforts me.

Lastly, I admire my mum because she is a great cook. When I come from the park she already prepares dinner. Sometimes I come home and food is already on the table. I feel happy to have her as my mother.
