Bouns Activity 

Because Hector's Dolpines are a very specail native animals found only in New Zealand. They are very rare and I totally agree that fishing should be banned from Farewell Spit because our very special native animals will get killed.

What the local poeple do, they cover the whales with towels, T-shirt, sarong, also they get water to put on the Whales to keep them wet and make there blow holes clear.

Activity 2; Predator free

* Personally, I think yes  Possum should be killed because Possums eat about 21, 000 tonnes of leaves and flowers in just one night.

* Possums carry a disease called bovine Tb which they spread to cattle.

* The damage they done (Possums) costs NZ fammers about $35 million every year.

                                  GREAT SPOTTED KIWI

The Great Spotted Kiwi, is great gray kiwi or roroa.Their body is pear-shaped, while the head and neck is small with a long slender ivory bill. Their eyes are small and do not see well. It is a species of kiwi endemic to the South Island of New  Zealand. They live in higher altitude areas. The great spotted kiwi is a member of the ratites, is flightless, it is the largest of the kiwi. It also known as tresure of the night or nocturnal because they sleep during the day and awake at night. They feed on invertebrates and will also eat plants. They had the largest egg of all birds.
